Would you like to learn how to create an online electronic portfolio using common web tools and software for use as a formative, classroom-based assessment tool that will showcase student work? This workshop will show you how to create a WikiSpace, and teach your students to create a WikiSpace of their own for use as an electronic portfolio. It will allow them to assemble their work in a digital archive, create links to specific art works to highlight particular achievements, reflect on their learning, and share their work with an audience. When used as a formative assessment tool, a student-created WikiSpace enables teachers and other students to critique their work and provide feedback for improvement.
